WHAT I DO AS A PAEDIATRIC OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST
My primary goal is to enable children to function optimally in all spheres of daily life, such as personal care, school environment and leisure participation. By using standardized tests, possible developmental delays that hinder a child from functioning optimally, can be identified.

Speech and Language Therapy
A Speech and Language Therapist works to prevent, assess, and treat, speech, language, and communication delays and disorders in children. Speech Therapy helps children who present with delays in their language acquisition, in both spoken language and language understanding, speech sound production, auditory processing, reading, and spelling abilities and comprehension (written and spoken). Comprehensive assessments and intervention are provided on campus and during the school day, with collaboration between the therapist, teacher, child and parents.
