In the Reading Club at NAIS, children discover the magic of books through shared reading sessions and lively discussions. They'll select from a variety of age-appropriate stories, classics, and contemporary tales, taking turns reading aloud, exploring characters and plots, and building vocabulary through engaging activities like book-themed games and prediction exercises. Guided by caring instructors, kids will develop comprehension and critical thinking in a cozy, encouraging space that turns reading into an adventure.
Members will also participate in creative extensions, such as drawing favorite scenes, acting out chapters, crafting book reviews, or hosting mini book fairs with peers. They'll recommend books to each other, vote on next reads, and celebrate milestones like finishing a series. This immersive club experience not only strengthens literacy skills and concentration but also ignites a lifelong love for reading, empathy through stories, and the joy of belonging to a community of young book lovers.
