In the Art Club at NAIS, children unleash their creativity through hands-on drawing and painting activities. They'll experiment with pencils, markers, watercolors, and acrylics to create vibrant illustrations, landscapes, and self-portraits, starting with basic techniques like color mixing and shading before advancing to more expressive styles inspired by famous artists. Guided by enthusiastic instructors, kids will explore imagination-driven projects, share ideas in group critiques, and build confidence in a fun, non-judgmental space that celebrates every unique creation.
Members will also dive into crafts and sculpture, using materials like clay, recycled items, paper, and collage elements to build three-dimensional models, masks, or textured artworks. They'll learn skills such as molding, cutting, gluing, and assembling to design personalized pieces, from animal figures to abstract installations. This mix of drawing, painting, and crafting not only hones fine motor skills and artistic techniques but also encourages self-expression, collaboration, and a lifelong appreciation for visual arts.
